Sequoia Byrd Obituary

In knowing that God does not make mistakes, Sequoia passed away peaceably from this life April 3,2024 surrounded and supported by her loving family and caregivers during the last days of her life. Before God called her home, she was able to do the one thing she enjoyed most on her 40th birthday, EAT, CELEBRATE WITH FAMILY AND EAT!!! Prior to her illness she was employed at the Duchess (she loved interacting with people). Her greatest LOVE, PRIDE & JOY is her 7 children. She enjoyed shooting pool, family bar-b-ques, reunions, dressing to the NINES, but most of all her Grandma Faye's Banana Pudding.

Sequoia sometimes appeared to be deep in thought about something or everything (but you had to catch her), time never seemed to be wasted with Sequoia. When we all start to think of her and miss her, remembering her crazy self, her laughter, her sisterly advise (some wanted some not so much LOL), the respect she held for her elders, and most of all her hugs and kisses, and her constant reminder "bout how she would hurt something bout her family". Sequoia will be missed we must always trust God and remember "God Has Spoken, Now Let the Church Say, Amen. STAY BLESSED.

Sequoia was born to Arron and Gloria (Jeannie) Byrd Whiteous on March 9,1984 in Columbus, Ohio. Greeting her in eternity, her parents Arron and Jeannie, her brother Eric Jr, uncle James Byrd, great grandparents Richard & Julia Cunningham, Grandmother Agee Whiteous Wade. She leaves to miss and celebrate her life, her 7 children (5 boys 2 girls), Amarinna, lyanna, Marshawn, Tyshawn, Dayshawn, Tony, and Jecome Byrd. Sister's Latoyia and Taisha Byrd, and brother (little) Eric. Her best friend & fiancé of 2yrs Kevin Thompson. Grandparents Frazier & Gloria (Faye) Hopkins, uncles Johnny (Elaine) Byrd, Frazier Byrd all of Columbus Ohio.
