Anthony J. Rivers

Anthony James Rivers, 57, traded his battle with multiple health issues for his heavenly reward on Monday, October 14, 2019. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on April 15, 1962, to the proud parents of William Rivers, Jr. and Celestine Littlejohn. He was preceded in death by his father, William Rivers Jr; step-father, Frederick Littlejohn Sr; maternal grandparents, Audrice and Fannie Price; paternal grandparents, William and Ersell Rivers; best friends, Kurtis Rose and Noland Soloman Sr.

He continues to reside in the hearts of his loving mother, Celestine Littlejohn; stepmother Joyce Rivers; sons, Asante Taylor Sr., Antione Ezirim Sr., DaJaun Kennedy; daughter, Brandis Roberts; siblings: Vicky Rivers, Fredrick ( Cornelia) Littlejohn, Tracy Littlejohn, Dreconda Easley, Nesbitt (Roshonda) Littlejohn, and Frank Littlejohn and a host of grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and best friends, Gene Fletcher and Jamie Redman.

Tony graduated from Independence High School. During his lifetime he enjoyed a variety of activities including bowling, fishing, camping. Tony was also a competitive basketball player. He was a devoted fan to several sports teams including The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Indians, and the Dallas Cowboys. Tony was truly loved by his family, friends, the Smith Road Family and especially the ladies. You will be missed dearly.
