William Monroe Polley was born in Middletown, Ohio on May 7, 1948, to the late Deacon William Payton and the late Mary Ann (Rankin) Polley, transitioned from earth to glory on Friday, February 15, 2019.
Reared in Franklin, Ohio, Bishop was educated in the Franklin Public School system, graduating from Franklin High School in May 1966. He furthered his education at The Ohio State University and later transferred to Aenon Bible College, following his call to the ministry.
On May 17, 1969, Bishop was joined in matrimony to Patricia J. Conley. To this union two daughters, Catherine Denise and Tonya Rachele, were born.
Bishop worked as a Surgical Technician at The Ohio State University Hospital and Good Samaritan (Zanesville, Ohio). He served in various management positions at Good Samaritan, leaving as the Director of Materials Management in May 1992 to assume the position of Assistant Pastor at The Church of Christ of the Apostolic Faith in Columbus, Ohio.
In July 2003, Bishop and Lady Polley launched Zion Christian Assembly, where he served until the time of his passing. In July 2005, Bishop was elevated to the Bishopric in the Greater Emmanuel International Fellowship under the direction of the Honorable Bishop Edward E. Shouse. In July 2007, he was elevated to Vice Bishop.
Bishop is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Lady Patricia Jane (Conley) Polley; daughters, Catherine Denise and Tonya Rachele; five grandchildren, James-Dominique, Devon DeShawn, Iesha LaShay, Demetrius Franklin and Imani Chevonne; sister-in-law, Myra Ann Conley; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, numerous spiritual sons and daughters, and the Zion Christian Assembly Church family, and friends.
Arrangements for Bishop William Monroe Polley are as followed:
Body will lie in state on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 10am – 3pm at Zion Christian Assembly, 6930 Motts Place Road, Canal Winchester, OH 43110.
Home Going Celebration will take place Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Church of Christ of the Apostolic Faith, 1200 Brentnell Avenue, Columbus, OH 43219. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Family will receive friends beginning at 4pm until the time of service at 6pm.
Bishop Polley’s final resting place will take place at Glen Rest Memorial Estates on Monday, February 25, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. The processional will leave from Zion Christian Assembly, 6930 Motts Place Road at 9:30am.
