Carlos Solis

Carlos R. Solis, age 49, Sunrise June 4, 1970 – Sunset September 19, 2019.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Charles & Ada Elder; and paternal grandparents Fidel & Lucy Solis. He attended Cols. East High School and graduated from Job Corp in Golgonda, Illinois receiving his GED in 1988.

He was a member of New Salem Baptist Church where he participated in the Young David, Youth Usher Board, Youth Choir and a Van rider helper. He was the first member of the family to join New Salem in 1984.

He was a member of the Boys 2 Men Social Club. He enjoyed traveling and watching football every Sunday, especially the RAIDERS. Carlos also enjoyed driving his students to and from school where he worked for Tri Star Transportation company. HE was formerly employed by Tru 2 Form Collision and Body Shop. Carlos was a big supporter of the East High Band and Football Team. He followed them to every game especially when his nephew and daughter was playing.

He is survived by mother Patty; father Dwight of California; three children Teesha, Tyrone and Diante; sister Carlisa; brothers Dwight, Charles (Chuck) and Anthony (Tony); granddaughter Jassayda Solis; three uncles, seven aunts and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank the Nurses and Doctors at OSU East Critical Care Unite for their outstanding professional service, Pastor Troy and the New Salem Family for their visits, cards and calls.

Family will receive friends Thursday, September 26, 2019 from 11:00am until time of service at 12:00pm at New Salem Baptist Church, 2956 Cleveland Ave, Columbus, OH 43224.
