Charles King

Charles H. King, III entered this world on Tuesday, December 28, 1948 in Toledo, OH and departed Sunday, September 22, 219. Preceded in death by parents Charles H. King, Jr. and Willie Lee, grandparents Rev. Frank Bowen and Annie Johnson. Survived by loving wife Shirlie, son Frederick A. King, daughters Angela Shaw and Starlet King, stepson Darrin Lurry, step-daughter Sonia Lurry and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law and other relatives and friends.

Charles was a graduate of Spencer Sharples High School (Toledo, OH) and a former employee of Toledo Steel Tube. He was a member of Christian Valley Baptist Church where he sang in the male chorus.

Charles was a sharp dresser and always looked his best. He was known for throwing on a suit or two-piece outfit with a hat. A room lit up when Charles entered it. Charles loved his family and singing, among other things and he will be dearly missed.
