Donald L. Langston

Donald Lee Langston, age 70, was the third son born to Odell A. Sr. and Frances Langston on December 23, 1947. He went to be with the Lord on Sunday December 16, 2018 at Westminster Thurber.

He graduated from West High School and attended The Ohio State University for two years. He is a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran, a Vietnam War Veteran and received three purple hearts. He also was a die-hard Pittsburgh Steeler fan. He was a former member of Advent United Church of Christ where he served as an usher and was a member of the media ministry. He had such a giving spirit and would help anyone who asked him. Donald loved playing chess and push-rummy.

He was preceded in death by father Odell Langston Sr., mother Frances Fitzgerald, step-father Price McGhee, brother Richard D. Langston, sister Yvonne Langston Cowans, niece Teresa Hurt. He leaves to cherish his memory, wife Wynter Langston, children Donald L. (Joyelle) Johnson Sr., Evette J. Langston, Matthew C. Johnson. Brother Odell A. (Gwen) Langston Jr. Sister Romona Langston Hurt. Grandchildren Jakale Bingham, Honesty Johnson, Donald L. Johnson Jr., Kaleb French, Mai’arah Sullivan, Mila Sullivan, Kennedi Sullivan. One aunt, Brenda Honaker, caregiver Kimberly Breckenridge. Special friend of 55 years Msemaji (James Stinson). Special friends Billy Burges, Jimmy Walker, Ralph Walker, Cindy Evans. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
