Elizabeth (Lizzie) Sharon Elise Robertson-Rutland

Elizabeth Sharon Elise Robertson-Rutland was born Monday, May 12, 2008, in Columbus, Ohio to Brittany Eriana Robertson and Davelle Rutland. She was the oldest of four children. Elizabeth, affectionately called “Lizzie” by family and friends, was a student of Columbus City Schools, where she attended Olde Orchard Alternative School from kindergarten until she graduated from the fifth grade. This was her first year to attend Sherwood Middle School.

Elizabeth had an avid love of reading. She had a special relationship with the school Librarian, Mrs. Smith. Elizabeth played the violin for the school orchestra and she served on the Student Leadership Council. Moreover, Elizabeth loved dancing. She took formal dance lessons from age three to nine at the Pinnell Dance School. Elizabeth was also talented at rapping and enjoyed hip-hop.

Elizabeth was baptized at the age of nine and was a very active member of The Worship Center of Central Ohio, where Apostle David S. Carter is the Pastor. Elizabeth loved liturgical dancing, singing with the youth choir, and performing with the puppet ministry. Jasmine was her puppet’s name.

Elizabeth Sharon Elise Robertson-Rutland, age 11, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2019. She was preceded in death by her paternal great grandmother, Regina Flemister; maternal grandmother, Erica Elise Robertson; maternal great aunt, Tracy Torbert; maternal great grandfather, Phillip S. Robertson, Sr.; and great uncle, Phillip S. Robertson, Jr.

The memory of Lizzie will be cherished by her loving mother, Brittany Eriana Robertson; father, Davelle Rutland; bonus dad, Jordan D’Jour Usher; siblings, Ethan Gabriel, Jordyn Usher, Erynn Usher, Levi Hutchison-Rutland, Messiah Rutland, Jayleigh Hutchison-Rutland; maternal great grandmother “Gramcracker”, Sharon Elise Robertson; paternal grandparents, Audrey (Lamont) Napier, Duwane (Tawanda) Rutland Sr.; maternal great-grandmother “Maw Maw” Alma Wade; maternal grandfather, Brien (Allyn) Miller; paternal great grandmother Donna Parnell; great grandfather, Michael Parnell; maternal great uncle Chief William H. (Regina) Robertson; uncles, Blair Miller, Kyle Hardy, Cameran Hardy, Jason Tomilson, Brian Miller, Jr.; paternal uncles Jarnell Rutland Sr., Duwayne Rutland Sr.; special aunts Beatrice Miller and Seleda Cockrell.

Special cousins Erykah Robertson, Essence Spears, Demi Robertson, Brooklyn Miller, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Special family friends Marcio and Latecia, Isabel Danielle Escobar, Samantha, Logan & Hannah Kane.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, October 1, 2019 from 10:00am until time of service at 12:00pm at Trinity Baptist Church, 461 St. Clair Ave, Columbus, OH 43203.
