Eugene (Pete) Carroll

Eugene Peter Carroll “Pete”, 63, of Columbus, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday August 18, 2019.  He was born on August 20, 1955 in Columbus, Ohio.  His parents were the late Julius Eugene and Helen Marie Carroll.  He was a believer and loved the Lord with all his heart.  He was a member of the Church of Christ of the Apostolic Faith.

He retired from the City of Columbus after many years of service.   Pete was an accomplished fisherman, hunter of wild game, RC Aircraft enthusiast and motorcycle joy rider.  He was married to his wife Kathleen Short Carroll for 30 years. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his baby daughter Shannon Carroll and brother Robert “Shaka” McNair.  Surviving to mourn his passing are five children Shawn Barfield, Dallas (Tonya) Carroll, Curtis Carroll, Sade’ Carroll and Brandon Carroll.  Sisters Stephanie Lowe (Jonathan), Patricia Walker (Marlon) and sister-in-law Afatamah McNair. His adoptive sons Leonard Milner and Justin Majors. His 3 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.

Family will receive friends Saturday August 31, 2019 9am until time of Home Going Celebration 10am at the Church of Christ of the Apostolic Faith on 1200 Brentnell Ave, Columbus, Oh 43219.  The Rev.
