Floyd Lewis passed away November 8, 2019. On August 12, 1954, proud parents, Willie Bell Henry and Albert Lewis, Sr. welcomed their handsome baby boy of eleven children (he being the baby of all) Floyd Lewis, into the world. He was born in Eufaula, Alabama, but raised in Columbus, Ohio. He received in marriage, on July 28, 2001, Karen Cook, his wife of 18 years.
Floyd "Honey" Lewis, (as he was known to family and friends) retired from Worthington Industries after thirty-seven years of service. Floyd enjoyed fishing. He was a very quiet person and was loved by many. His spirit was humble and gentle, but if he didn't want to be bothered, he would let you know it.
He enjoyed his grandchildren and loved all his children very, very much.
Floyd was preceded in death by parents: Willie Bell Henry and Albert Lewis, Sr.; sisters: Effie Lee Harris, Eddie Will Starling, Lillie Mae Zachary, and Willie Maude Harris; brothers: Eddie James Smith, Mosses Smith and Albert Lewis, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Cook-Lewis; children:Kimball Robinson, Floyd Lewis, Jr. and Keyana Lewis: stepchildren: Tanisha Cook and Donte Cook; grandchildren: Kimball K. Robinson, Kimball Robinson,Jr., Zavion Williams, Zora Lewis and Sage Cook; sisters: Lizzie King, Sarah Griffin, Ruby Lewis and a host of nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Friday, November 22, 2019 from 11:00am until time of service at 12:00pm at Centenary United Methodist Church, 2048 Denune Ave, Columbus, OH 43211. Interment Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
