James Fryar Obituary

Mr. James Alvie Fryar, passionately known as “Tap” and “Pops”, passed away at the age of 81, on Friday March 15, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie Alvie and Mary Ellen Fryar; son, Antonio Donnell Fryar; Brother, Edward Lee Fryar; sisters, Ercell Fryar and Paulette Ware.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marva; Children, James Tate (Joyce), Mary Twanda (Darnell), Barry (Charlene), Alvie Andre, Michael Eugene (Dolly), Ronnie Orlando (Toni), Roberta Lynnette (Fred), Junenett (Doug), James “Pedoe” (Tamika); Brothers, Herman L. Fryar, Gregory, James Anthony, Lynn, and Eddie Fryer; 24 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; best friend, Mike Nutt; special nephew, Billy Dee William Clark; special neighbors, Leroy and Michelle Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
