Joy Renee Hale was born to Alton Monroe Woodlin and Nadji Ann Hale on December 26, 1959. Joy was child five of nine. Joy attended Columbus Public Schools. Joy loved to have fun and play with her nieces and nephews. Joy attended ARC Industries and West Central School where she loved working and making money and spending time with her friends.
Things that Joy enjoyed: Flirting with young buffed black men, chewing gum, dancing, playing the tambourine, being on the move, making jewelry, talking about her boyfriend even though she could not remember his name, praise and worshipping God, arts and crafts, puzzles, playing frisbee and being made to laugh; her smile would radiate through the room when she would get her food at restaurants. She really loved when someone would sing a song with her name in it: Joy Joy Joy! She would stand up for herself.
