Lloyd R Turner

Lloyd Robert Turner passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at the age of 78. He was born on August 10, 1940 in Columbus, Ohio to Rupert, Sr. and Gladys Turner.  He attended Columbus Public Schools and graduated from East High School.  He took a job with the Ohio Department of Transportation and after many years retired from that agency. 

He was a lifetime member of St. Dominic Church and volunteered to maintain the church.  Lloyd would mentor children in the church neighborhood and have them attend Sunday Mass. 

He loved listening to long play records, riding his many bicycles, reading his bible, and enjoyed helping out at the Neighborhood House. 

He is preceded in death by his parents Rupert, Sr. and Gladys, sister Ruby, and brothers Harold, Rupert, Jr., Clarence, and Fred.  He is survived by sisters Wilma and Mary (William) Tobe, brothers Richard, Gerald, and Kenneth (Blanca) Turner; many other relatives and friends. 

Mass of celebration at St. Dominic Church, 453 N. 20th Street, Wednesday, February 13 at 11 am.  Family will receive friends from 10 am until time of Mass.  Interment St. Joseph Cemetery to follow immediately.   Arrangements entrusted to WHITE’S FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, 867 S.
