Shirley Tynes

Shirley D. Tynes (Hairston) was born June 7th 1935. Blessed with 84 years of life on June 19th 2019 she was called to eternal rest. Shirley was born to Eugene and Maude in Columbus, Ohio. Shirley grew up in Flytown and graduated from Central High School. She was employed at Western Electric for over 20 years before she retired. She met and married James Tynes and they were married for over 50 years. Shirley was known for her collection of dolls and antiques. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was known for hosting and planning family reunions. Shirley took pride in playing with her great grandchildren. She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ Apostolic Faith for many years. She enjoyed Sunday School and singing in the choir. She was faithful to God until the end.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents Eugene and Maude Harirston. Husband James Tynes, Brothers Eugene, Warren, Carl, Ernie. Sisters Hazel, Helen, Martha Ruth, Norma and Theresa.

She was survived by Children Robert Love, Warren (Denise) Love, Eugene Tynes and Shelia Tynes Craft. Grandchildren Camillo, Tanisha, Ashanti(Julius), James, Tyne, Shelby, Robert, Quientin and Thaddeus. Great Grandchildren Emani, Jaylin, Da’Jon, Cameron, James, Harmoni, Julianna, King, Zion and London. Brother Micheal (Ruth) Harriston. Sisters Carolyn Jackson and Peggy Kelly. Brother-in-laws Herb Henderson and Walter Stewart. Sister-in-law Patricia Hairston. Goddaughter Denise Elmore Jackson and special son Micheal Goolsby. Special friend and caretaker Cynthia Stone. Host of nieces and nephews and friends.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at 11am until time of service at 12pm at Church of Christ of the Apostolic Faith, 1200 Brentnell Ave., Cols, OH 43219.
