Family will receive friends on Thursday, April 30 2026 at 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Apostolic Church, 1743 E. Lakeview Avenue, Columbus, OH 43224. Interment: Glen Rest Memorial Estate.

Aley Ann Wilson

Aley Wilson was born on January 13, 1938, to Alonzo & Emma (Foster) Moore. Aley grew up in New Richmond, Ohio and graduated from New Richmond High School in 1956. She attended Ohio State University, in Columbus, Ohio.

She was the Great-Granddaughter of Howell & Aley (Dunning) Boone. Howell & Aley Boone had a grocery store in New Richmond in the 1850’s and were prominent members of the black community. She was the granddaughter of Brooks & Georgia (Boone) Moore.

Aley Ann Wilson passed away peacefully at her home on April 14, 2026.

She raised three children, Eric, Shawn, and Gena Moore as a single-parent. Later in life, marrying Albert Wilson.

Her heart was deeply saddened with Gena’s untimely death in January of this year. She is survived by her two sons, Eric and Shawn, her many grandchildren, and by a host of other relatives and friends.

Aley retired from American Electric Power after more than twenty years of service. After retirement, she went to work for A Plus Arts Academy and stayed there for ten years. She was active in her church for many years and had many social engagements with her friends. Conversations with her could range from philosophical to political.

Aley Wilson was a good woman, a wonderful mother, and wife. She will be missed!
