Alma Coleman

After a courageous and gallant battle, Alma R. Coleman finished her course and task and she laid down her arms and entered into God’s rest on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at Majestic Care Center of Whitehall in Columbus, Ohio.

Alma began her 93 year journey in Cedartown, Georgia on October 20, 1926. Alma was preceded in death by her parents O’Dell Raines and Clara Raines, two sisters Ruby Clyde Benton and Clara Pearl Dixon.

She moved to Columbus, Ohio at a very young age. After graduating from High School Alma worked for the State of Ohio for a short time. Alma joined in union with Richard Douglas Coleman. From that union Anthony Douglas, Jack and Jacqueline.

Two sisters Sylvia (Dannie) Carr, Tanya Fowler; children, the twins Gary and Gail; 12 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 6 nieces, 6 nephews, 5 great nieces, 2 great nephews, best friend Helen Jeffers, 14 adopted children, special neighbors, care givers and a host other family and friends.
