Anthony Carleton Enoch was 53 years old. His life was filled with love, laughter, music, friends, and family. Anthony unapologetically lived his life by his own terms and without a doubt, he did it his own way.
Anthony was born to Jimmy Gould and Bernice Harrison on September 6, 1967 in Brooklyn, New York. He is the second of three children. While in New York, Anthony at a young age developed his love for music. At the age of 9, he began D.J’ing and as he began to develop his craft he coined the name “DJ Whiz Kid.” In 1984, Whiz, his sister, Tyria and mother relocated from New York to South Columbus, Ohio. He attended and graduated from Walnut Ridge High school. Whiz’s first job was at the United Skates of America East, where he was the DJ and Skateasaurus.
During Whiz’s upcoming as a local DJ, he met some life-long friends that became his brothers: David Owen, Deron “Heavy-Hands” Gentry, Otis Sharp, and Curtis Brown. Throughout his career as a DJ, he has worked with numerous club and venues around the surrounding Columbus area. Whiz was always proud and willing to give his knowledge and wisdom on the music industry to many upcoming DJs and inspiring artists.
Anthony is preceded in death by grandmother, Arzella Enoch and uncles, Elbert Enoch Jr. and Carleton Enoch.
Anthony leaves behind the love of his life of 30 years, Lamonta Clark. They were truly best friends who not only loved one another, but they remained in love with each other. Lamonta will forever carry him in her heart. Anthony is also survived by his children, Siea Glover, Annita and Anikqua Millsap, Demetrus Jones, Destania Jones, Destanee Hayes, Desirea’ Jones, Anthony Enoch Jr., Aaron Terrell, Aaliyah and Alicia Enoch; 24 grandchildren. He also leaves behind his siblings, Charles Duerson (Ophelia) and Tyria Enoch; Nieces and Nephews, Micah Williams- Enoch, Michael Enoch, Deonna Duerson and Mi’Anjel Enoch.
For everyone who is mourning our loss, try not to be saddened by the way that he passed away. In stead celebrate the way that he lived. Whiz truly lived his life the best way he saw fit. All who knew him knows he was a true family man and will deeply miss his loving, yet stubborn “know it all” personality.
