Barbara J. Smoak

Calling hours Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at White's Funeral Home Chapel. Private family service at 11:00 a.m., tickets are required for entry. Private service will be livestreamed. Family will receive flowers at the funeral home. 

Barbara J. Smoak was born July 19, 1933 at OSU Hospital. Barbara Smoak departed this life May 17, 2021. 

Barbara retired from the DCSC and was Vice President of Deshler Block watch. She was also a former member of Tabernacle Baptist Church Ushers, and member of UNCF. She dedicated herself to serving her community and always looking out for neighbors. She will be sorely missed by the Driving Park Community and especially her Kelton Ave neighbors. Barbara was the kind of neighbor that any neighborhood would be blessed to have.

Barbara is preceded in death by parents Jessie and Harry Johnson and grandmother Fannie Mitchell. She is survived by son Harvey E. Smoak, daughter Dianne Smoak, granddaughter LaVasha Smoak (Walter Williams), grandson Eric Smoak (Jennie Foster), great-grandchildren Kyla, Javon, Eric II, Cre, and Ciarra.
