Barbara Ann Williams went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly August 24, 2024. Barbara was 72 years old. Barbara was born in Columbus, Ohio on April 27, 1952, to Elizabeth Evans and Clarence Williams.

Barbara attended Mohawk Senior High School. After high school she was passionate about her work with MRDD patients.

Barbara met Beotis Crowder in 1978 and together they shared 46 years of unconditional love. Barbara has often been described as the “life of the party”. She took no stuff and held no punches.

Preceded in death by her parents William and Elizabeth Ruffin and her father Clarence Duckworth. Her mother and father-in-law Beotis and Christine Crowder Sr.  Brother’s Gerald Evans, Marvin and Wendall Ruffin. And sister and brother-in-law Vivian and Charles Spencer.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Terri and Rickey Williams, Troy and Tysann Bowman, Corey Newman and children in love Marcellus Calloway and Cheyenne Holland. Grandchildren Tiara and Earlena Brown, Tionna and Dionna Williams, Troy Jr, Tory, and Chylah Bowman, Corey Jr, Camyra, Carys, and Carey Newman. Great Grandchildren Saraeyah Brown and Arzell Muldrow, LaMar and Donta Lewis, Milah Norman, Mylah Wilson, Corey III, and Corlaiyah Newman.

Siblings Clarence (Shelia), Curtis (Cathy), and Kathy B, Williams, William (Teresa) Ruffin, Shelby (Nate)Bowman, Larry, Lindsey, and Clarence Duckworth II. Sister in laws Carol Butler, Gloria Fair, and Tina Richardson. 

A host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Special ladies in her life Sylvia Newman, Karen Calloway, Sheria Williams, and Kimberly Massey.

Barbara will always be remembered as someone who had all our backs at one time or another in good times or bad.
