Beatrice Nadene Pointdexter

The wife. sister, grandmother, mother, and Eldest daughter of Roy Brown and Susie Mae (Primus) Brown, was born In Gary W.Va on February 27, 1946 and passed away on October 19, 2023 at OSU hospital surrounded by loved ones. Nadene leaves behind her loving husband of 32 years, Jim O Poindexter, four daughters Thea Chambers, Trisauna Newkirk, Teena Hamlin Dr. Nadene Chambers (Ferguson) and so many bonus children. She loved growing all things. Nadene shined in life. She read mythology and Transcendental Meditation tomes and earned a social work degree at Columbus State. She was proudest of the continued tradition of education in the next generation including her 13 grandchildren, great grandchildren, every Brown child across three generations as well as blessing City of Columbus students as a bus driver. Her contributions to her community included leadership in the Local Order of the Eastern Star and a small business, Classic Concepts, LLC. She is most known for holding up the tradition of getting together as a family, and legendary Christmas punch. Nadene experienced a lot of the good life enjoying the casinos all over the world, driving a Camaro at 65+ and more. She joins mentor Selena Palmer, sister Rachel, and brother Roy Jr. and sadly many neices and nephews, along with Mother Susie Mae, and her much beloved Father, Roy Brown in her transition.
