Family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. until time of Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. at White's Funeral and Cremation Services, 867 S. James Road, Columbus, OH 43227.

Bettie Jane (Ramseur) Price was born July 12, 1927, in Middlesboro, KY to Howard Ramseur and Sallia (Gibson) Ramseur.

Bettie Jane graduated from high school in Middlesboro, KY and continued her education earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration at Kentucky State University. After graduating from Kentucky State in 1949, she moved to Columbus, Ohio where she met her husband George Price and married in 1957. As a hobby, she and her husband trained show horses. One of their horses, Hawks Black Owl, won first place. Years later she enjoyed going to the Riverboat Casino with her great-niece, Checita Jackson. They also frequented the shooting range. Her favorite pastime was playing the stock market which later became long-term investing.

After working in procurement at DCSC for 33 years, she retired in 1986.

Bettie Jane departed this life on Monday, February 23, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents Howard and Sallia Ramseur, her brother Howard Ramseur Jr., her sister Delphine Ramseur Anderson Blackburn, her sister Lucille King, niece Sally Anderson Jackson Myles and great-niece Checita V. Jackson.

Bettie Jane is survived by two nieces, Deloris Eiland of Columbus, OH and Vanta Lewis of Louisville, KY; three nephews Howard Ramseur of Oakland, CA, Duane (Jean) Ramseur of Minnetonka, MN and David (Debbie) Ramseur of Woodbridge, IL; six great-nephews Christopher Keith (Vicki) Jackson of Madera, CA, Otavio (Shelia) Jackson of Columbus, OH, Ron (Tianee) Eiland, Jr. of Columbus, OH, Mitchell Ramseur of Raleigh, NC, Duane (Jenny) Ramseur, Jr. of Minneapolis, MN and Andre Ramseur of Woodbridge, IL; two great-nieces Tonique King and Keidra King of Louisville, KY; three great-great nieces Rhonnie Eiland, Laila Eiland and Danielle Eiland; and a host of other relatives.
