Family will receive friends on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 12:00 p.m. at Church of Christ of the Apostolic Faith, 1200 Brentnell Avenue, Columbus, OH 43219. 

We are heartbroken to announce that our mother Bonita (Bonnie) Rene’ Godfrey passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 28, 2023. She is proceeded in death by her Mother Norma J. McCarroll. Father William B. Thomas. Brothers Glenn and Oren Rucker. She is survived by her husband Arthur D. Godfrey. Son’s Tyrone and Arthur (Dwayne) Godfrey and her daughter Tameka Godfrey (Chris). Bonnie was a devoted grandmother to her grandchildren; Nija, Demetrius, Demarae, Andre, Mai’Ana, Tyrone Jr, Sana, Amani and Daejha. Great grandchild Major (MJ). She also leaves behind by her sisters, Toya, Angel (Randy Peppers) Dianna. Her Brothers James (Toyia) Love and Brett. And a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and aunts. Bonnie was a loving mother to her three children. She was their best friend, and was always there whenever they needed her. She was also a loving wife to her husband of 51 years, Art Godfrey. She will be sadly missed but never forgotten.
