Boycie J. Richardson, Jr.

Boycie Richardson passed away May 15, 2020. Private Graveside Service Wednesday, May 27, 2020.

Boycie J, Richardson, Jr. was born August 27, 1966 in Columbus, Georgia to Boycie J. Sr. and Juanita Richardson. He was baptized at an early age at Second Shiloh Baptist Church in Columbus, Ohio.

Boycie Jr. graduated from Independence High School in 1984, where he excelled in football and basketball. After graduating, he served in the U.S. Army for 3 years. He worked for the State of Ohio Department of Taxation for 19 years. He was currently employed by Callos Resource.

Because Boycie Jr. was an avid Ohio State Buckeye and Pittsburgh Steelers fan, he loved having watching parties. No one will ever forget his Super Bowl Football Pool. People still talk about it to this day. He was always the life of the party, along with his big bright smile and dog barking. You would always know when he entered the room. He was definitely a people person.

Boycie Jr. was called home on Friday May 15, 2020. He is preceded in death by his son Boycie Javon “BJ” Richardson; nephew Andre Vaughn “AJ” Richardson, Jr. and life partner Mary Ann “Maria” Brewer.

He leaves to cherish his memory parents Boycie Sr. and Juanita Richardson; daughters Derricka, Jasmine and Breia; brothers Rickey and Andre Richardson; sister Sancha (Lamonte) Young; nieces Tyana and Brooklyn; nephews Rico and Elijah; uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends.
