Brenda Ann Tillman

Brenda Ann Tillman was born on May 31, 1951, to Joesph Lee and Susan Tillman Washington. She departed this earthly life on October 15, 2023.  Brenda was born and raised in Bethel A.M.E. Church where she participated in the youth choir, youth usher board, and Young People’s Department.  She was a 1969 graduate of East High school.  Brenda moved to San Francisco in 2001 to care for her father and returned to Columbus in 2013.  Brenda is preceded in death by her father Joseph Lee, grandparents William H. and Carrie Tillman; uncles Eddie, Dennis, and Joseph Tillman, aunt Barbara Tillman Kelso, and nephew Raphael Fair.  Left to cherish her memory are her mother Susan Tillman Washington; children, daughters Erica and Nicole Brockington, son Kerry Drake; sister Dr. Linda C. “Chick” Tillman; brother Craig D. (Kristy) Fair; step-sister Diane Haley, grandchildren Brandon, D’Ondra, Andre, Breylon, Courtney, A’Nyah, Kiree, Icius, Cortez, Kirish, Dajoura, Imunique, Daylonie, Kamara and Daymont; great-grandchildren Audrielle, Jace, Khashad, Da’mier, Ilynd, Kiyah, Damion, Aqliyah, Kamiyah, Kiree, Miyonna, Kylique, Salin, Makenzie and Michail; nephew Craig D. (Mali) Fair, II; numerous cousins, special friends Gwen Drake, Cheryl Towns, Gail Link, and the Jordan, Butler and Hawkins families.
