Brian Clayton Herring was born in Cincinnati, OH on June 16, 1971 to Barbara A. Herring and Hardy C. Herring. He is survived by his best friend and wife, Deidra Nicole Herring; mother, Barbara A. Herring; father, Hardy C. Herring; brother David (Denita) Herring; mother-in-law, Jennifer A. Granger, niece, Denisha Herring; nephew, David Herring; and a host of cherished aunts, uncles, and friends.
Brian was a graduate of Percell Marian High School in 1989 and graduated from Central State University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in 1994. Brian loved sports with baseball being his passion. From a young child to a young man he became a gifted player (first-base man) who joined the Central State Marauder Baseball team as a freshman. He had a great appreciation for all sports and the arts as well. In 1993 he was declared the MVP as a Centralian. He as truly the MVP of his family. He had a heart and smile of gold.
In 1997 he pursued a career in sales and merchandising where he was also recognized for his hard work. Brian also had many gifts and a desire to work in law enforcement, so he began a second career in 1999 serving close to 20 years as a supervisor for Montgomery Co in Dayton, OH, Juvenile Court and Detention. There he found his second family with his detention colleagues who he cared about dearly and they had his back all the way. Mr. Herring or Herring was respected by all who knew him, as a professional who lived to protect and to make sure everything was alright.
