Constance Nathaniel “Nate” Stone peacefully transitioned from his earthly home on 6/24/20 with family members by his side. He was born on November 24, 1957 in Martinsville, VA. He was the 2nd son to James H. Stone, Sr. and Billie H. Stone, both who preceded him in death. He was a graduate of Martinsville High School where he excelled in academics. He made Columbus, OH his home and was a resident at Chandler Arms Assisted Living Facility on Gould Rd. for a number of years. As a talented handyman, he delighted in car repairs and had nearly enough tools to repair almost everything. He was well known for his generosity in helping others with home maintenance projects. He loved to wear hats and was affectionately known as “the Hat Man.” Nate.
In addition to a host of extended family and friends, he is survived by his son, Marco Tyree Taylor of Martinsville, VA., brothers, James H. Stone, Jr. and John G. Stone, (Anke) of Heidelberg, Germany; Step-Brother, Nachor S. Stone (Tia) of Martinsville, VA., sisters, Cynthia L. Stone of Columbus, Ohio and Deacon Stephanie Spencer, (Ron) of Midlothian, VA, and a personally designated “mother,” Ms. Annette Greene of Columbus, OH.
Condolences may be made on-line at the White Funeral Home. A memorial service celebrating Nate’s life will be held at a later date near his childhood home in Martinsville, VA., where he was lovingly known as “Tootie”. As requested, his ashes will then be spread between his mother and father.
