Candace Renèe Stewart, 55, of Grove City, Ohio, passed away on March 18, 2025 after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She departed this world with peace, knowing she was going to her Father’s House. Born on August 8, 1969, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Patricia McCain and Clifton Dove, Candace dedicated her life to Christ at a young age. She was a devoted member of Bethany Christian Church and later New Birth Christian Ministries, where she actively participated in the Cancer Warriors. She also worked on her soul salvation and became a member of Daughters of the King Ministries, Inc. Her faith in the Almighty God Jehovah never wavered, and she often proclaimed, “But God,” trusting in His divine plan. A graduate of Trinity High School (Class of ‘87), Candace earned a degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminology from the University of Toledo. She served the State of Ohio, Department of Youth Services for 30 years, retiring in April 2024 due to illness. Despite her decade-long battle with cancer, she lived joyfully, traveling to Hawaii and Italy, and planning a bonding trip with her children. Candace’s kindness and unwavering spirit touched everyone she met. She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Stewart III; her children, Monique Foster, David Foster, and Jaidon Stewart; and grandsons, Carter Lee and Carson Anfernee. She also leaves behind her parents, siblings, extended family, and cherished friends, especially her Family by Love: Earl Myles, Patricia Johnson, Monté Cummings, Michael Cummings, Mark Cummings, and Masija-James Porterfield. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Andrew and Earline Chisholm, Herbert Dove, and Johnnie Will Dove. Candace's life was a testament to faith, resilience, and love. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered. May she rest in eternal peace.
