Cathy Michelle Walker, age 73, went to be with the Lord on May 17, 2024. She was born on November 8, 1950. Cathy is preceded in death by her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Owen Walker, and her sister, Gayle (Walker) Jackson. She is survived by her sister, Angela Walker-Wagner, her niece, Taylor Walker, her bonus son, Abraham Chandler and many other family members and friends.

Cathy had many loves, the most important of which were her love for God and her family. A devout Christian, Cathy was saved at a very young age, and Jesus Christ was the head of her life from that time onward.

Cathy graduated from Marion Franklin High School in 1969. She pursued business classes at Franklin University and took Bible courses at the Word of Life Bible Institute.

Her career spanned several decades and included positions at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles (1969-1974), Franklin County Department of Human Services (1974-1990), and the State Department of Human Services (1990-1997). After retiring from state service, she worked at World Harvest Church in the Tape Ministry (1995-2002). Cathy also ran her own small business from 1991 to 2001, designing greeting cards, wedding invitations, and various other projects. Her last position was at Briggs Road Baptist Church, where she worked from 2003 to 2017.

Cathy's hobbies included scrapbooking, reading, playing games on her phone, word searches, and watching The Ohio State Buckeyes football. She was an enthusiastic Buckeyes fan, often cheering with an "OH-IO!"

Her favorite travel destinations were the Holy Land (Israel) and Hawaii, where she found great joy and inspiration.
