Family will receive friends on Monday, May 11, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. at Bethel Temple Ministries, 2840 Lockbourne Road, Columbus, OH 43207. Interment: Greenlawn Cemetery.

Cherl Denise Clark went home to be with the Lord on April 29, 2026, at the age of 74. Cherl was born to Hubert and Hattie on March 27, 1952.  Cherl and her mother shared a special day, the same birthday. Cherl was a graduate of South High in Columbus, Ohio.  She was a dedicated employee of J.C. Penney. She had a personality that was larger than life. Cherl had a great love for God and family. Her children and grandchildren were her “true loves,” which she talked about daily.

Cherl met and married Odell Clark on April 6th, 1974. From this union, two sons were born, Dane and Dale Clark.

Cherl is preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Hattie Walls, her Brother’s Hubert “Pete/Scooby” and Mark Steven Walls.

Cherl was survived by her loving husband Odell, children, Dane Clark and Dale (Ashley) Clark, and daughter Chala Solomon of Columbus, OH. Grandchildren: Odell Clark, Anthony Clark, Jordan Clark, Ryleigh Gaston-Clark, Tyler Solomon, La Niya Solomon, and Serenity Solomon. She leaves behind a host of family and friends whom she has touched immensely with her life.
