Family will receive friends Friday June 20, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. at White's Funeral and Cremation Services. Interment: Evergreen Burial Park.

Cheryl Leslie Smith was born March 15th 1953 to Montrose “Monty” and Charles Dixon. Cheryl, better known as lil mama was the second oldest of four kids. She was raised in Columbus, OH and graduated from East High School. After spending two years at Ohio State, lil mama relocated to Las Vegas. There she wed James “Smokey” Smith and they had one child, Tracy A’Lee Smith. Lil mama eventually returned to Columbus, OH and began a new life.

Lil mama later met Beecher Thomas and they were together until her passing. Lil mama graduated from Columbus State in 2013 and retired from Southeast Mental Health years later. Lil mama loved helping people, she also loved to cook. Spaghetti and potato salad was her specialty. She also loved to dance and listen to music. She loved babies and kids.

She was preceded in death by her parents Montrose “Monty” Dixon, Father Charles Dixon, and her Brother Curtis “Poncho” Dixon.

Left to cherish her memory, Daughter Tracy Smith, Stepchildren Erica (Jamie) Forrest, Mario (Pudge) Lewis, Grandkids Janisha, Vanee, Jajuan, Sha’Von, Ja’Marri, Ja’Laiha, Brothers Joey Dixon, Robert Hamlin, Sister Carolyn Cannon, Aunt Maxine Russell, Constance Kellon, Cousins Kelly Bowers, Angela Berry, Aaron Russell, Anthony Russell, Rebecca Huntsbereger, Special Nieces Preshuslee Willis – Thompson, KerVonne Day, Curtis Dixon, Jr. and a lot more loved nieces and nephews.

She loved the Lord, and the Lord loved her. Lil mamas smile, generosity, kindness and compassion will always be remembered by those who knew and loved her.
