CLARENCE WILLIAMS OBITUARY

On June 25, 2026, Clarence Williams was called home by the Lord.  He was 75 years old.  Clarence was born in Columbus, Ohio to Elizabeth Evans and Clarence Duckworth.  He attended Columbus Public Schools and graduated from South High School in1968.  He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Clarence was an avid fisherman who loved to cook and was a true lover of R&B music.  He enjoyed being around his friends and family.  He was always the life of the party during family gatherings.  He loved to tease and scare his nieces and nephews during Halloween with the many scary masks he would buy.  Even his mother suffered from his scary antics.  Clarence was a devoted fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes (O.H.I.O).

Clarence was the father of five (5) sons, Brian, Kevin, Terrance, Aaron Williams and Christopher Taylor.

He was proceeded in death by his loving wife of 30 years Shelia Valentine Williams; sons Brian D., Kevin M., Aaron G.T. Williams and Christopher Taylor; mother and stepfather Elizabeth and William Ruffin; father Clarence Duckworth; brothers Gerald Evans, Marvin and Wendell Ruffin (TX); sister Barbara Ann Williams; grandsons Anthony and Kevin Williams.

Clarence leaves to cherish his memory son Terrance C. Williams (Atlanta, GA); nephew William D. Matthews; goddaughter Shermika Winebush (WVA); grandchildren A’hzia Williams, Ebony Williams, Christopher and Chrystian Taylor; Ryan Waugh, Brandi Taylor, Sabria (Tyrene) Taylor-Steans (TX); brothers Curtiss (Cathy) Williams, William C. (Teresa) Ruffin (Atlanta, GA), Larry, Lindsey and Clarence Duckworth II (Atlanta, GA); sisters Kathy B. Williams and Shelby (Nate) Bowman; former wife Wanda Jenkins Pernell, and including a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
