Curtis "Scotty" A. Stevens, Jr.

Curtis “Scotty” A. Stevens Jr. was called home on February 20, 2019.  Curtis was born January 3, 1969, in Columbus Ohio, to Curtis A. Stevens Sr. and Pastor Leola H. Stevens.  Curtis attended Brookhaven High School as well as Tech Trade Career Center which was part of the Linden McKinley Auto Mechanics Program in Columbus.  He also attended Roadmaster’s Truck Driving School in Columbus where he obtained his license to drive the big trucks.

Curtis enjoyed music and sports; especially The Ohio State University Buckeyes football and basketball games.  His favorite NFL team was the New England Patriots.  He also enjoyed spending time hunting with his father.

Curtis is preceded in death by his parents Curtis Stevens Sr. and Pastor Leola Stevens.  He leaves behind his wife, Aretha Shuemak, along with six children; Domonique (Ricky) Sumling, Curtis Stevens III, Ateryka Stevens, Cymia Stevens, Zakyha Stevens, Indya Stevens; six step-children Aleasha Shuemak, Antwain Shuemak, Anitra Davis, Julius Shuemak, Breonna Shuemak and Sanii Shuemak; five siblings, Paula Justice, Rhonda (Samuel) Hoyte, Timothy Justice, Keith (Candace) Justice, Kimberly (Renauld) Ray and sister-in-law Cherie Justice.  He also leaves to treasure his memory many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and a host of friends in the Columbus Ohio area.

Curtis will always be remembered fondly in our hearts as we remember the impact his life had on each one of us individually.  He will be carried always in our hearts and mind until we meet again.

The Celebration of Life service for Curtis "Scotty" will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Christ N Us Ministries, 511 Industrial Mile Road, Columbus, OH 43228.
