Daisy M. Palmer

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. at Mount Sinai Church of God In Christ, 4345 Cleveland Avenue, Columbus, OH 43224. Interment: Evergreen Burial Park

Daisy Mae Palmer, age 85, was one of seven children born to John Henry Sr. and Mary Milligan. Sunrise March 29, 1938, in Chattanooga, TN. Sunset September 14, 2023, at Riverview Nursing Home, Columbus, OH. 

Preceded in death by her Husband John L. Palmer. Parents John Henry Sr. and Mary Milligan, Brothers John Henry Milligan Jr., and James Milligan; Sisters Elizabeth Merritt, Constance Ross, Alice Holland, and Matilda Elder. Great Grandson Sidney Croom; Son-in-laws Delmar Coleman and Tommy Broom.

Left to cherish her memory are her Children Larry (Diane) Milligan, Linda Broom, and Barbara Coleman. Grandchildren Lynnette Broom, Lashawn Spence, Anthony Milligan, Jalonie Coleman and Kezia Cook. Great Grandchildren Jasmine Broom, Amare’ Shipp, Atumre’ Shipp, Nashante’ Spence, Lashawna Spence, Jer’Shawn Green, Shania Haris, Aziah Harris, Anthony Milligan-Ramos, Dion Croom, Jr., Alexis Croom and Cedric Croom. Great Great Grandchildren Tyree Dukes, Jr., Ty’mir Dukes, Jakai Meade, Jayce Meade, Kayleon Talbott and Jai’Leonna Miracle, a host of beloved nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Special friends Ollie Miller, Louverna Hairston and Ronnie Stewart. 

Daisy left Chattanooga TN and moved to Columbus, OH to start a life with John L. Palmer in 1960.  They married 6/30/1961 and were married until the time of his death. Daisy worked as a housekeeper in Bexley for many years. They both joined Mt. Sinai Church of God in Christ 2/3/1985 and remained members until their deaths. 

Daisy loved receiving flowers, spending time with her family and going out to eat. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
