David E. Myles, born February 4, 1948, in Columbus, OH, peacefully passed away July 24, 2024, at 76 years old, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love and service. A Vietnam War veteran, David served his country with honor and distinction.
David married the love of his life, Sally Marie Myles, and together, they shared 40 years of unwavering love and companionship. A man of few words, David expressed his love through actions. He was a passionate football lover and a dedicated Raiders fan. His joy was found in the simple pleasures of life, such as cooking and spending hours playing with his toy soldiers.
David was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Marie Myles; father, Ernest Myles; brother, Aubrey Lee Alexander; sisters, Virginia Anne and EmmaJean Walker; and stepdaughter, Checita Jackson.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Sally Marie Myles; stepchildren, Christopher Keith (Vicky) Jackson and Otavio (Sheila) Jackson; sisters, Joyce Hinman, Patt Glascor, and Shirley Myles; brother, Donald (Barbara) Corbett; sisters-in-law, Deloris Eiland and Vanta Lewis. David also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
David's quiet strength, love for family, and passion for life touched everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all. His spirit lives on in the hearts of his loved ones.
