Devin L. Johnson, age 24, departed this life March 20, 2021. Visitation is Tuesday, March 30, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Christ United Methodist Church, 1480 Zettler Road, Cols, OH 43227. Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
In Remembrance of Our Beloved Devin Lyle Johnson
Devin Lyle Johnson was born April 8, 1996, a 23 weeker twin, 119 days premature with less than a one percent change to survive at Riverside Methodist Hospital. At birth he weighed 1 pound and 2 ounces. His twin Dorraine weighed 15.6 ounces at birth. Together they weighed 2 pounds. With the exceptional care from health providers and numerous prayer lines, he survived. After a stay of 99 days he was released from the hospital. God had a purpose for Devin, he was truly a miracle and blessing. It is documented they (HE) held the World Record for being the most premature surviving twin in the Guinness Book of Records.

Devin was a 4 year letterman in wrestling with only 4 years of experience. His wrestling experience was obtained from fighting off his 3 sisters. He was determined to make his family and friends proud of him. After graduating from Pickerington Central High School, he worked at Capital Recovery Systems as a Customer Service Representative, He met his long term friend, Ms. Hawkins his freshman year. Devin obtained his General Arts Degree from The Ohio State University, making his parents very proud.
Devin passed away March 20, 2021, a few weeks from being the age of 25, doing his most cherished hobby, riding his motorcycle. He had motorcycle fever in his blood. Family history of riders ranging from his: grandfather, aunts, uncles, cousins to close friends. Shout out to the motorcycle club that gave Devin a salute at his Candle Lighting Service on Tuesday, March 23rd, 2021 at Glacier Knoll Park.
Those who remain to cherish memories of Devin include his parents: Patience Y. Brown Johnson and Dennis Johnson; God parents: Cindy Sovell Klein and Craig Klein; Grandmother-Margorie Johnson; Nana-Mary Y. Brown; siblings-Phylicia Y. Johnson, Dorraine "Twin" Johnson and Paige N. Johnson; long time friend-Hannah Hawkins; Mourning also are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and members of Gethsemane United Methodist Church.
Devin did not have any brothers, his 6 honorary brothers are his Pall Bearers: Trenton Armstrong, AJ Bondurant, Clay Burk, Ronald Lawrence, Daruis Pearson, Maurice Thomas.
The family wishes to acknowledge the many acts of kindness shown during our time of bereavement. Your prayers, comforting messages, floral tributes, meal contributions and other thoughtful expressions of sympathy and love have been a tremendous source of strength. May God's grace and mercy be with you all now and always.
