Celebration of Life for Dianna L. Young and Jacqueline Dula

Family will receive friends on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. at White's Funeral and Cremation Services, 867 S. James Road, Columbus, OH 

Dianna Lee Young was born October 1st, 1940, in Columbus, OH to the late Max and Elsie Hawkins. Along with her siblings Phyliss Covington, twin sister Donna Goodwin and Gregory Hawkins.

Dianna, age 85, passed Monday February 2, 2026, at the family home where she along with her ex-husband James E. Young raised three daughters: Katherine Dula, Jacqueline Dula and Suzanne Young. She transitioned peacefully surrounded by loving family from this world to the next.

Dianna graduated from Columbus Night School along with her sister Donna. She joined Second Baptist Church and attended and participated in events with the church for several years. She later was employed by the State of Ohio working at Scioto Juvenile Correction Facility as a Youth Leader for several years.

Dianna was a loving Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Aunt, Friend, Grand Mother and Great-Grandmother. She loved hosting and attending family events on most holidays and just getting together with loved ones and friends, bringing food and family together with love and laughter.

She is preceded in death by her siblings Gregory Hawkins, and Donna Goodwin.

Dianna leaves to cherish her memory Daughters Katherine Hunt and Suzanne Shelby along with Son-in-law Kirk Shelby, who became more of a son to her; Sister Phylliss Covington; Grand Children Kirk Jr, Shaunaya, James and Robert Shelby; Great Granddaughter Raine Joy Shelby South; Niece and Nephews Michael and Martin Gilbert, Derrick, Erica and Dante Hawkins, Robin Covington, Gabrielle and Danielle Fisher.
