Donald Newell Obituary

Private Family Memorial Service (maximum 50) Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.

Donald Newell went home to live with the Lord on Sunday November 8, 2020 at the age of 63.

Donald Newell was born May 23, 1957 in Chicago, IL to Hazel and Kenneth Newell Sr.

Donald attended Dwight D. Eisenhower H.S and graduated the class of 1976. 

Donald Entered the U.S. Military after high school where he served with honors. 

Donald was better known as “Duckman” to his friends and family.  He enjoyed his career at the VA hospital until he retired December 2019. Donald loved fishing, golfing and football. He was a super fan of his beloved hometown football team the Chicago Bears. Donald went on to spend many years in Chillicothe, Ohio fully dedicated to his sobriety. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Hazel and Kenneth, twin brother Ronald, brother Willie James (Monk),niece Michelle McKee and nephew Jovon Newell. 

He leaves to continue his legacy his three children: Tijuana D. Beamon (Orlando) of Elkhart, IN., Jeremiah D. Beamon of Robbins, IL., & Sharniece D. Thomas of Robbins, IL.,       

His brothers and sisters: Lem of Chicago, IL., Dantzler of Newport Beach, VA., Kenneth (Margie) of Columbus, OH., Hazel of Robbins, IL., Vina of Riverdale, GA., & baby brother Joe (Yvonne) of Columbus, OH. 

Grandchildren Lamondre, Tiara and Demondre Townsend. Raven Tayborn and Ja’Miya Beamon. 

Great grandchildren Royal Jefferson and Alex.

Donald will truly be missed by all he encountered. Please keep his friends and family in your thoughts and prayers in their time of need.
