Calling Hours (only 10 at a time), Tuesday, December 29, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at White's Funeral Home Chapel. Private Family Service (50 maximum) at 12:15 p.m, tickets are required to attend the service, please see the family for tickets. Private service will be livestreamed. Interment Evergreen Burial Park. The family will receive flowers at the funeral home.
Dwight (Butch) Henderson was born in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Willa Mae Perry and Lavell Castor on June 27, 1957. He was later adopted and raised by Amos Henderson and Gertrude Henderson in the late 70’s. Dwight and several of his siblings moved to Columbus, Ohio and made it their permanent residence. He was a truck driver, and his CB handle was “Capital City Tin Man”. Butch loved to work and take care of his family. He spent most of his adult life working in construction. There was a time when Butch loved to ride motorcycles. He loved spending time camping with his late wife and children. He is known for having a wonderful sense of humor and personality.
Dwight is preceded in death by his wife Guya Henderson married for 25 years until her passing. Parents Willa Mae Perry and Lavell Castor, Amos and Gertrude Henderson. Sister Cynthia Perry, Sister-In-Law Zelda Mae Perry and niece Timeka Henderson.
He is survived by his children George Bowman Sr, Lamar Graham, Antwain Henderson, Reico Henderson. 6 grandchildren (George Bowman Jr, A’merie Bowman, A’laya Henderson, A’miya Henderson, Antwain Henderson Jr, Malachi Henderson) Sisters Jacqueline Jenkins and Faye Arrington. Brothers Napoleon Henderson and Timothy Perry; many nieces, nephews, god children, and close friends.
