Graveside Service for Edward T. Steward will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Eastlawn Cemetery, 1340 Woodland Avenue, Columbus, OH 43219

Edward “Teddy” Steward was born on March 27, 1963, to James and Josephine Steward in Columbus, Ohio He passed in his home on July 8, 2026, at the age of 63. 

A proud graduate of Marion Franklin High School and a tenacious athlete, he was a member of the Red Devils football team, where he learned the value of teamwork, perseverance, and brotherhood. Teddy went on to study aerospace mechanics at Columbus State and later invested in various real estate opportunities. 

Teddy’s greatest joy was his family. He took pleasure in gathering with loved ones, sharing memories around the table, and savoring good food, especially at the Golden Corral, where he was a familiar face. He made it a point to ask about his nieces and nephews, genuinely inquiring about their lives, their struggles, and their successes. He wanted to know how they were getting along not out of duty, but from a deep-rooted love. 

He leaves to mourn his loving siblings, an abundance of nieces, nephews and cousins, all of whom will forever cherish his unwavering love for family, and his persistent faith. 

He was preceded in death by his parents James and Josephine Steward; sisters Debra and Sheila Steward and nephews Josiah and Jonathan Steward.
