Elmore Jordan Jr. passed on December 22, 2021. Graveside Service, Wednesday, January 12, 2021 at Dayton National Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.
In loving Memory of Elmore Jordan Jr., also known as, Junior or J.R. to his family and friends, September 30, 1949 - December 22, 2021.
Elmore (J.R.) was the oldest of four, who proudly looked after his younger brother and sisters. He loved and cared about his entire family and would call them just to check on them often. One of his passions was music and he was self taught to play just about any instrument, however the drums was his real love. He was blessed with the ability to create beats, writing of music, and inspired others with his musicality. His gift of musical talents date back to his youth well into his adulthood which was evident by the several bands he played music for.
J.R. came from a long line of service men, his great, great grandfather served in WW I and WW II, his great grandfather served in WW II, and his parents worked for the National Armory during WW II. J.R. proudly served a tour of duty in Vietnam as a Marksman in the Marines for his country, where he received a honorable discharge. After returning home he pursued one of his dreams and passions, driving an 18 wheeler truck across the United States.
Elmore (J.R.) is preceded in death by his parents Elmore and Danella Jordan, sister Bertha Lee Jordan, brother Jeffrey Jordan, and his daughter Melinda A Jordan. Elmore (J.R.) is survived by two sisters Dianna Tolbert and Julia Middlebrooks, Children; Monica (Lamont Collier), Shelley Jordan, Kalice (Jason Mock), , Elmore Jordan IV, Terrance Jordan, Trevelyn McBroom, Chassdie Jordan, Rokeem Jordan. And a whole host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
