Geneva V. Dunlap

Family will receive friends on Friday, June 9, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church, 461 St. Clair Avenue, Columbus, OH 43203. Entombment: Greenlawn Cemetery.

Geneva V. Dunlap was born the fifth child on June 14, 1920, to Morton and Geneva Walker in Lynchburg, Virginia. Her Formal education also occurred in Lynchburg. She was married to the late Richard Dunlap for 72 years. In 1952, Geneva and Richard moved to Columbus, Ohio making it a home for them and their five children. Geneva retired from employment with Nationwide Children's Hospital after 35 years. She was a member of the Eastern Star and a 65 year plus disciple of the Trinity Baptist Church. As a centenarian she was still attending worship and remained supportive of the church. The Dunlap's were well respected residents of Garfield and Saint Clair Avenue in the near east side of Columbus, Ohio. On Friday, May 19, 2023, at 102 years of life Mrs. Geneva V. Dunlap entered eternity. She joins her parents, husband and sons, Richard Dunlap, Jr., and Kenneth Dunlap who preceded her in death. Left to cherish her long life are children, Elnora Kelsor of the home, Savannah (Jesse) Sharp of Newark, New Jersey, and Alfonza Dunlap of Washington, DC; grandchildren Terrance, Shelby, Queene, Kinglee, Christiana and Chris; 21 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
