Loving mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend.

Georgia M. Beasley (formerly Nancy Dickerson) was preceded in death by her loving husband William Beasley of 55 ½ years, parents, William and Rosie Dickerson, brothers: William Dickerson, Walter Dickerson, Charles Dickerson, Rev. Henry Dickerson, sisters: Mary Allen, Mable Brooks, grandparents: Anthony and Lumer Caldwell, Charles and Annie Dickerson. Aunts and uncles, loved them all.

She joined Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in her youth and was baptized at the age of 10 under the late Rev. R.T. Gleaves. Having served during the tutelage of Rev. Gleaves, Dr. G. Thomas Turner Sr. and the present pastor Rev. Dr. Scottie L. Aaron, she was the oldest member upon her death and received a certificate of appreciation in July 2018 at the church’s 96th anniversary celebration. During her years as a dedicated member, she served as a junior usher from Donaldson to the present location until she became ill. She simply loved ushering. Additionally, she participated in the women’s fellowship (Naomi Circle), was in the choir under Sister Elenora Reid, and was appointed as a “Pastor’s Prayer Warrior” in January 2018.

She worked at the Defense Construction Supply Center (D.C.S.C.) where she received numerous awards. Her kindness, wit, sense of humor and compassion were among her strongest characteristics. She loved her family and would do anything she could for them.

She leaves to cherish her memory, loving daughter Beverly Newkirk (Richard), loving son William D. Beasley who was her caretaker, a good stepdaughter Addie Smallwood (Steven), grandson Derek Webb, loving granddaughter Christa Newkirk, and brother in law Rev. Carl Allen.

Her favorite bible verse she always quoted was Matthew 6:33.
