Geraldine K. Kelley

Geraldine Kelley departed this life November 13, 2021. Eastern Star ceremony will be Sunday, November 21, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at White's Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends Monday, November 22, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. at City of Grace, 3350 Allegheny Ave, Columbus, OH 43209. Interment Glen Rest Memorial Estate. 

Geraldine Katherine (Young) Kelley (82) transitioned home Saturday November 13th, 2021 at Grant Medical Center. She was born March 26th, 1939 to Richard and Lois Young in Columbus, Ohio.  

Geraldine was raised along with her siblings in Columbus, OH where she lived all her life. She graduated from East High School in 1957. She married her husband Fredrick E. Kelley Sr. in 1962, in which together they had 4 beautiful children.  

Geraldine was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star where she was Past Grand Worthy Matron of Esther Chapter No. 3; Past Grand Deputy of The Eastern Star 4th District & State Past Grand Loyal Lady Ruler.  

One of her favorite things to do was to volunteer at Isabell Ridgeway Nursing Home.  She led the residents in Bingo games for over 10 years and was affectionately known as “The Bingo Lady”. Geraldine worked for Rockwell International /McDonald Douglas where she retired with over 30 years of service.  She also worked seasonally at The State of Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Water Craft after retirement.  

Geraldine is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Lois Young Sr., Brother; Richard (Dickie) Young Jr., Sister; Lois A. (Young) Myrick, Nephew; Kenneth A. Kelley, Niece; Kimberlee A. (Kelley) Malone; Niece; Teri R. Cordell and Husband of over 50 years Fredrick E. Kelley Sr. She is survived by her children, Traci L. (Kelley) Fields; Toia D. Kelley; Tami L. Kelley; and Fred E. (Gina M. Banks) Kelley Jr; Goddaughter; Gina Strain; Sisters: Carolyn A. (Rollin F.) Kelley, Madelyn Young; Brother; Roger (Rocky) Young; Special Friends; Alan K. Fields; Anjanette Spann; 7 Grandchildren; 1 Great Grandchild; and many Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.
