Gladys Day

Ms. Gladys Beatrice Evelyn Day passed away in Westerville, Ohio at the age of 81.

Gladys is survived by one son, William E. (OraLee) Day of Merrillville, IN; two daughters Ardelia (Prince) Naigow and Dea Day; one brother, Ronnie (Phyllis) Fitzgerald all of Columbus, Ohio.

Gladys is preceded in death by her parents James and Ardelia Fitzgerald, two sons James and Tim, one daughter Janet Day, all of Columbus, Ohio.

Gladys was born March 6, 1938 in Pocahontas, Virginia to James and Ardelia Fitzgerald. She graduated from Bramwell H.S. Along her journey she ran into the love of her life James W. Day and they wed in 1955 and migrated to Columbus, Ohio to start a life together. They welcomed six children and the family grew to date with 13 grand and 11 great grandchildren.

Gladys gave her life to God while attending St. James Pentecostal Church and worked faithfully in the area of Hospitality. She worked at Galberth Corp for 13 years and Columbus Dispatch for 15 years.

We also acknowledge all aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.  

Family will receive friends Tuesday, November 12, 2019, from 2:00pm until time of service at 3:00pm at White's Chapel.
