Hazel Ardene Washington 86, entered into eternal rest on December 25, 2023. She was born on May 24,1937, in Columbus, Ohio to the late John and Bessie Dennis.

Hazel was the second oldest of four children. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age. Her brother, the late Bishop Arden Dennis, was her pastor. Hazel was a spiritual mother and a foundation in the community. Despite any challenges she faced, her faith in God remained strong. She will always be remembered for her sense of style, courage, quick wit, humor, and sassy attitude. Hazel loved expressing her love for others, often using her unique choice of words intertwined with wisdom and grace. She cherished spending time with her family and friends and had a passion for creating delicious meals. In her free time, Hazel enjoyed bowling, cooking, shopping, and spending time with her loved ones. She was truly one of a kind.

During her lifetime, Hazel worked in various industries such as healthcare, electronics, and food service. She had been enjoying retirement for many years at the time of her passing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Bessie Dennis, brothers Melvin Dennis and Bishop Arden Dennis, and sister Audrey Harris.

Hazel is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Hazel worshipped as a church Mother of the Apostolic Christian Church of Christ, led by Pastor Melissa Simons.
