Howard (Bully) Eubanks transitioned to spend eternal life with God on September 1, 2024, at 5:00 pm, with his daughter, Sheila, at his side. He was born on January 9, 1931, to the late Samual Eubanks and Lucinda (Bush) Eubanks in St Augustine, Florida. The Family relocated to Beech Island, South Carolina, and then to Augusta, Georgia. He was educated by the Richland County school system. Around 1950, he moved to Columbus, Ohio, where his sister Daisy Truss opened her home to him.

In 1962, he married his loving wife, Oneda Eubanks. One child, Shelia Ann Eubanks, was born out of this union.

Howard started his career with Buckeye Steel Casting Company in the late 1950s. After over 30 years of service, he retired. He also worked at the Columbus Fair Auto Auction for several years.

Howard gave his life to Christ at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 86 South Ohio Ave, Columbus, Ohio, and was baptized by the Late L. C. Brown Senior. He remained at Ebenezer under the direction of Bishop Michael Dickerson.

Howard loved his family. He loved to travel and visit family. In his early years, you could find him playing cards at Betty’s house every Sunday. He also loved to garden and make sure the yard was beautiful.

Howard's family life was genuinely unique. His father was married to two great women and had sixteen children, and he loved them all. He grew up with his nieces and nephews in his sister Daisy Truss's household. They coined the term “Ten Plus One.” Daisy had ten children, plus Howard.

The Eubanks Family Reunion was always a happy time for him. His nieces and nephews treated him like royalty, and he loved the attention. He was affectionately known as Uncle Bully.

Howard is preceded in death by his Parents, wife, Oneda Eubanks, brothers, Raymond Eubanks, Newton Eubanks, Leroy Eubanks, Leon Eubanks, Hasting Eubanks, Sam Eubanks, Goldie Eubanks and Clifton Eubanks; sisters, Vivian Eubanks, Louise Eubanks, Gonzalee Cade, Julia Eubanks, Ida Eubanks and Daisy Eubanks -Truss; brothers-in-law, Thomas Cade, Wilbur Johnson Jr., Wallace Mason and sisters-in-law, Alberta Mason, Barbara Maxwell, Mary Joe Eubanks, Georgia Eubanks and Estelle Eubanks.

He leaves to cherish his memory daughters Sheila Ann Eubanks and Ida Patricia (Patty) Eubanks -Brown of Columbus and Deloris Mobley of Augusta, GA; granddaughters Chandris Ross and JoAnn Eubanks; sister Ida Johnson, Augusta, GA; great-granddaughter Sanaiaha Ross-Jennings, great-grandsons, Brandon McDonald, Devon Eubanks, and Jordan Eubanks,  great-great grandsons Brandon McDonald Jr. and Dereck Eubanks;  sisters in law, Delores (Dee) Ross of Elk Grove, CA, Etta Eubanks of Augusta GA and Mary Alice Mason of Boissevain, VA, brother-in-law, Freddie Maxwell of Bluefield West Virginia, special son, Reggie Mitchel and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Howard truly loved God and loved him unconditionally. Howard's unwavering spirit will continually live on in each of us, and he will never be forgotten. “The Lord is with you (Howard) Howard truly loved God and loved him unconditionally.

O mighty man of valor.” Judges 6:12
