Jada’s Story- Authored by God - told by Mommy
Once upon a time, January 31, 2019 to be exact, a BEAUTIFUL little girl was born. Her name was Jada LeAnn and she would later be affectionately known as JadaBaby PunkinNoodle or Punkin for short.
God knew that she was going to need lots of love and care so on Monday, May 13, 2019 He gave her a new mommy named, Charmane and two brothers Kerrington and Jaedon. Talk about an adjustment! Mommy and Jaedon prayed for a little girl to join their family and Kerrington, well Kerrington thought having one younger sibling was more than enough. However, the tables turned and Kerrington thought having a baby sister was pretty cool, and while he eventually became used to the idea, Jaedon not so much. Finally being a “girl mom” Mommy saw baby dolls and tea parties in her future, but Punkin would later crush her hopes and dreams by loving blocks and cars. Either way, Jada was a beautiful addition to her new family.
Jada had been given a rare gift called Cornelia de Lange syndrome. Now other kiddos have been given this gift, but none were quite as blessed as Jada. You see most kiddos with CdLS can’t walk or talk or do many things that typically developing children do, but Jada was determined to do all of that and more! With the help of the Lord, and a little inspiration from her best friends Clark and Aaron, Jada learned to walk. One Thursday afternoon in October 2021 she hopped off the couch in her hospital room and started walking unassisted!! She and Mommy must’ve done ten laps that day! The talking thing? Well, she already had a handle on that as she spoke VERY fluent Jada and eventually learned some English and American Sign Language as well. Her first word was “hallelujah!” Jada’s health issues prevented her from going to school everyday, but that didn’t stop her from learning all the scholastic things a four year old should know. She LOVED to learn and would often surprise Mommy when she learned a new thing on her own such as recognizing the alphabet, colors, shapes, and numbers 1-15.
Punkin was a singer in her own right and loved waking her mommy and brothers up singing whatever song was on her heart at the TOP of her lungs! She was the original TestiMini as the youngest member of Terrence J Dooley & Testimony and the Chorale Baby by being the youngest member of Gregory J Watkins and the Worship & Praise Chorale, not you Bubba! Like her mommy, Punkin loved to read and had more than 100 books in her library. Jada LOVED her Bababi (Godmommy) Chelsey and depending on her mood, she loved & tolerated Doddad (Goddad) Josh and was settling into her new role as big sister to Maison Tate. Mommy would love to tell you more, but there’s not enough time for that.
Jada sadly enough had to endure a long battle with cyclical vomiting syndrome. God, in His AMAZING wisdom and grace decided enough was enough and on Sunday, January 28, 2024, called His little princess warrior to her heavenly home to rest. She left Mommy, Charmane, brothers Kerrington and Jaedon, Tayden, Blaine, Godbrother Maison Tate, Godparents Joshua and Chelsey Williams, Grandparents PawPaw Danny & Poobie Cynthia Tucker, Roosevelt and Mary Williams, best big cousins Deidre and Yolanda, bio mom Danielle, uncle Brandon, Fab5 aunties, her Mimi’s Playhouse and Westerville Early Learning Center teachers, staff and friends, lots of aunts and uncles, cousins and extended family, her Living Faith Church Family and New Covenant Believers Church friends here on earth to not only cherish her memory, but to strive to live a life that ends with Heaven as their reward.
