Jeff Durroh

Jeff Durroh departed this life April 14, 2022. Family will receive friends Friday, May 6, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. at Bethel AME Church, 2021 Cleveland Ave, Cols, Ohio. Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers during this time.

Jeff Raynard Durroh was born September 22, 1964 in Columbus, Ohio to James L. Durroh Sr. and Geraldine M. Durroh. Jeff accepted Christ at a very young age and attended Bethel A.M.E. Church, where he was an active member of the Sunday School. He was a delegate for many Sunday School Conventions, a member of the Young Peoples Department (YPD) and attended the Tawawa Youth Program, at The Wilberforce University. Jeff was also a delegate for the A.M.E. Third Episcopal General Conference.  Jeff graduated from Linden McKinley High School in 1982 where he was a member of the Track and Field and the Cross Country Teams where he won many awards and broke many records.  He was also a member of the Football Team.  Jeff enjoyed spending quality time with his family, going skating at USA skating rink on Sunday for family night. He also enjoyed swimming and hanging out with his neighborhood friends.

Jeff’s first job was as a paper carrier in his neighborhood that he really enjoyed. He furthered his career working as a senate page for state Senator Richard Pfeiffer. Jeff served in the Unites States Army.  He then went on to work for the Franklin County Health Department. Jeff relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1996 where he began his career as an undercover security officer at Caesars Palace.

Jeff leaves to cherish his memory’s, his wonderful parents James and Geraldine Durroh Sr., special friend KoKo Adams, son, Junichiro Durroh, sisters, Garna Durroh, Dorothea (Edward) Hives, brother James Durroh Jr., sisters, Frances (Kenneth) Green Sr., Alicia Durroh and Monica (Reginald) Rankin.  A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jeff’s beautiful spirit and warm heart will be missed by many and we will cherish all the wonderful times shared with him.
