Family will receive friends on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. White's Funeral and Cremation Services Chapel, 867 South James Road, Columbus, OH 43227.
Jerrilyn Joy (Williams) Lomax, born on April 15, 1949, in Bertrand Missouri, to the late John Roy and Mable Williams. Joy is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Patricia A Williams, brothers Ricky R, and Barry L Williams and Aunt Mary Ann Simmons.
Joy and Timothy Howard Davis had two children Bridgett and Kimberly Williams (Young). Joy graduated from Thomas J Kelly High School in Charleston Missouri and later earned a degree in business from Columbus Area Technician’s School, in Columbus Ohio, which name changed to Columbus State Community College.
Joy had a strong work ethic, she was employed by Delta Dental Plan of Ohio, which she retired from after 25 years. After retirement, Joy, did light secretarial work for the Urban League.
Joy confessed Christ into her heart, & later baptized in the name of Father, Son & the Holy Spirit. Joy was a loving, gentle, quiet, and soft-spoken person. Joy was a petite person even with her food, she loved the sport of bowling, she can throw them strikes with that left hand. Joy loved her family & the fun times with them all. She enjoyed traveling to her birthplace in Missouri for fun times with family & friends there. Joy was a wonderful mother, her heart was solid gold, she Loved her girls and her grandchildren.
Left to cherish and remember her love, are her two daughters, Bridgett (Tilton) Williams, and Kimberly (David) Young, her one sister, Cheryl (Keith)Hall, three brothers Randall, Dale (April), Tony (Larona) Williams, her Aunt Enda Carter. Her grandchildren, Kandise(Kraig), Kristian & Brittney Williams, William Todd & Karrington Martin, & Diamond Williams, nineteen great grand kids . Also, her special friend Wayne(Coach)Cooper. Host of nephews, nieces, & cousins. Joy will live in our hearts forever & never forgotten
