May 1, 1985 ~ October 27, 2023 (age 38) 38 Years Old
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00a.m. at White's Funeral and Cremation Services 867 S. James Rd. Columbus, OH 43227.
Jerry “Ge-Ge” Deshawn Chandler was born on May 1, 1985, in Columbus, Ohio to Rhonda Strongs and James Galloway. During his adolescent years he was accepted into the hearts of his foster families Ernestine Lewis (Boo), The Muse family and The Phillips family. He graduated from Hilliard Davidson High School in 2003. He married the love of his life, Camisha Chandler, on February 10, 2014.
He worked for several years at Brisk Heat, gaining many promotions through his tenure, and becoming a Lead Shipping Coordinator. His dreams were to one-day own his own trucking business.
Family was paramount to Jerry, and he was a loving father to his eight children: Helena Byrd, Rashia Edwards, Marion Ford, Geniya Myles, Teavonnye Chandler, Jeriyah Chandler, Jerrymial Chandler, and Jay’meir Chandler.
Jerry loved football and you could find him repping his Greenbay Packers and The Ohio State Buckeye teams. You could find Jerry either at the gym or spending time with family enjoying the outdoors. Jerry may not have been at service every Sunday, but he was a God-fearing man who loved Christ.
Jerry is remembered as a jokester and comedian, but to know him was to love him. Anytime you needed help and called G, you could definitely count on him to be there.
Jerry is preceded in death by his grandparents Geraldine Chandler, James (Beatrice) Galloway Sr., and father James Galloway. He is survived by his wife Camisha Chandler, mother Rhonda Strongs, brothers Antwaun Chandler, Eric, Justin, Jason, and his sisters Shaniqua Scott, Sade Strongs, Sierra, Paige and a host of many other family members that loved him dearly.
