John Leroy

John Lewis LeRoy Jr, 79, passed this life on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 in Columbus after an extended illness.

Mr. LeRoy was born on Tuesday, April 16, 1940 to the late John and Roberta (Kay) LeRoy of Natchitoches, Louisiana, coming to Columbus in 1958 to attend Columbus Art School.  During his work life, John was employed with Wallace Ackley for 40 years and a member of the Ohio Gun Collectors Association for 50 years.

John is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann LeRoy, Columbus, 2 children:  Antonio (Natalie) LeRoy, Florence, Kentucky and Sherese (David) Perdue, Columbus; step daughter Beth (Doug) Paige, Bowie, Maryland and step son Valton (Yvette) Valentine, Stone Mountain, Georgia; 8 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren; special cousins; Nick Leon and Willard Leon; special friends; Rev. Raymond & Robin Mickens, Charles & Annette Conkle, Dr. David & Vickie Boyer, Dick G’nosa and Joe Click.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by 1 sister, Johnnie McDonald and Ms. Jordan, of  Centenary Church, whom he made his home with during his years at Columbus Art School.
